" Across the window "
Something I wrote as a tribute to the timeless innocence and magic of - First love!

Quiver of the soul, as you lay across the window
Joy of the heart, hearing you breathe at night
Young and free, without a care in the world
The warm blanket of innocence, an everlasting sight
Walking through the meadows of memory...
Secrets under the fig tree, quiet nights beneath the moon
Laughter shared as the sun goes down, and soft walks back home
Young and free, without a care in the world
The warmth of that hand in mine, it never felt alone
Walking through the meadows of memory...
Summers turn to autumns, Winters to springs
"Always and forever", together we vow
Young and free, without a care in the world
Through thick and thin, to fate we bow
Walking through the meadows of memory...
Winters become colder, and nights darker
Summers become colorless, the morning light weak
Young and free, without a care in the world
That warmth and laughter, how dearly I seek
Walking through the meadows of memory....
Deafening of the ears, cries shudder through next door
An empty cold bed, I see across the window
Young and free, without a care in the world
Without a name, tears that are born begin to flow
Walking through the meadows of memory...
Rain washes away the dust, while she is lowered
A rose returned to its bed, thunder shall harm no more
Young and free, without a care in the world
Turning away quietly, the hardest thing to endure
Walking through the meadows of memory...
"Will you stay with me, will you be my love"
I hear her say, laying across the window
Young and free, without a care in the world
Never an absolution, the memories still grow
Walking through the meadows of memory...
The laughter of the kids, filling the room beside
"Daddy, tell us a story", as I open my eyes
Young and free, without a care in the world
"There once was a boy named...." , first love never dies
Walking through the meadows of memory...
Walking through the meadows of memory...
Walking through the meadows of memory...
